The Challenge

RSA Competition - A New Leaf

How might we utilise local woodland resources to stimulate inclusive and sustainable economic activity?

Tackling the brief by researching the volunteer touchpoints of the woodlands. Who takes care of local land and what is the reward?

Research proved that not enough young people are becoming involved in helping nonprofit organisations maintain the forests. Dronley coins was a context specific closed-loop initiative that would make youth feel they are contributing and being rewarded for what they are doing.

Dronley woods was a local woodland that was the inspiration and research material.
